Every Classrom An Incubator

India’s National Education Policy 2020 (NEP-2020) sets a bold vision: classrooms
that go beyond memorization and help students build skills, confidence, and
creativity. Yet in my work with schools and colleges, I have repeatedly seen a gap —
teachers and principals want to implement NEP-2020, but lack simple, practical
frameworks to make it happen.
A teacher in a government school once told me, “I want my students to innovate, but
I don’t know how to design activities beyond the textbook.” A principal in a private
college shared, “We want to align with Startup India and Digital India, but my
faculty are still trained in the old B.Ed. style.” These voices are not rare — they
represent a nationwide challenge.
